Snake Cube Wood Puzzle |
This one starts out looking like a two tone Rubix cube puzzle but once unraveled it looks more like a snake (hence the name: Snake Cube Puzzle). The wooden pieces are all connected with an elastic thread through them so you can twist and turn the pieces - but only certain ways. Invariably you will get this puzzle 'almost solved' lots of times before you will find the actual solution. Once you do find the solution, the trick is to remember it next time...not so easy to do. This puzzle scores 10 out of 10 for tactile qualities though, so even if you cannot solve it you will love 'playing' with the wooden cube pieces and twisting them around. We would almost say it is therapeutic ... in a puzzley way... |
Puzzle Packaging: The Snake Cube puzzle is packed in a lovely black or red cotton drawstring bag with a swing tag label so whether you have it solved or not it will all be stored carefully for the next time you want to try. |
Difficulty Rating 8/10 |
Formed in 2005 in our workshop in Crumlin, Dublin, we originally made puzzles for fun and just to challenge each other at work and our friends in the pub after work. The Puzzle Co was born out of one of those random comments from a friend one day along the lines of - 'you should sell those at Christmas markets, they would be great Kris Kindle presents and stocking filers'. So that is exactly what we did.
We couldn't believe just how popular the puzzles turned out to be, and how much fun it was to sell them. Several years later, and we are still coming up with new variations on the range and adding in a few new puzzles every year...and still having fun selling them.
So much fun and great to see the family playing without a screen or phone in their hand
