If you are after less of a puzzle and more of a laugh with a hint of competitive challenge in there this is the bundle for you.
Perfect for gifting to a household where there is a mix of ages. Everyone from kids to teens to Grandad will want to get involved with these 3 all time classic games.
Quite simply a brilliant game - simple to learn and a lovely combination of fun, luck and strategy.
Sometimes known as chess light it is based on the same principle of board and pieces moving forwards to capture and win. The complications of multiple pieces have been stripped back and the pieces are all equal to begin with.
A great intro to chess for younger family members but also a great game in its own right.
Like all our puzzles and games we start with a single prototype to try out in our workshop. Once it passes that test, we show friends and family and see how it goes down before making a small batch for sale. This one was a disaster in the workshop. We had so much fun testing it (ie playing it) that we got no work done for the afternoon.
The board is made from maple with quality black and white perspex pieces that glide on the board for a lovely playing experience. The pieces are packed in a gorgeous cotton bag and everything is packed in one of our quality embossed boxes.
Board size 165mm x 165mm
A great fun game for two or more players.
Build the wooden pieces into a tall tower and take turns removing one piece at a time.
Each player has to remove at least one piece without knocking the tower or any part of it.
You may use one of your pieces to help push out another one on your next go.
The loser is the person who knocks the tower down while trying to get their piece out.
Loser builds the tower for the next game.
Comes packed in a lovely red cotton bag so you never lose any of the pieces.
Who doesn't have fond memories of playing Xs & Os for hours on end?
Or did you call it Naughts and Crosses .... or Tic Tac Toe?
Whatever you called it we have a very fancy coffee table version sure to take you back.
Made from wood with black perspex pieces and packed in a gorgeous black presentation box.
A simple 2 player game that is as fun for kids as it is adults. The rules take 2 mins to learn and the game can be played fast or slow.
We used to have tournaments as a kid so 'best of 5 games'....'best of 10'....depending on how long we had we could keep going for hours.
The goal is to get 3 in a row before your opponent does. We had a sub-rule that the first player could not go in the centre, to make it a bit more interesting and I'm sure there are other variations out there too ...that's half the fun.
I’m very impressed with the quality.
Thanks a million!
Omg guys its very very addictive (the snake cube puzzle)
Our whole family love the puzzles
Awesome Company!
The Dublin Puzzle Co
Dublin 6W
The Dublin Puzzle Company have been designing, making, and selling logic puzzles for over 10 years.
We like to think we are good at spotting classic puzzles that have stood the test of time. Our favourites are the puzzles that are 'lateral thinking' puzzles and have no age range. Rather they require an open mind and a 'give it a go' attitude to solve them.
Every time we demo our puzzles we see two kinds of people ... those who jump right in and try to solve the puzzle, and those who back away and say they are "no good at puzzles". Interestingly kids are always ready to have a go ... adults are about 50/50. Somewhere between our childhood and adulthood we lose our ability to just 'try'.
So we are on a mission to get grown ups to 'have a go' and be less 'adulty'.
Try hopscotch again, have a go at the puzzle, chance your arm at climbing the tree, roll down the hill ... who cares if you fail ... you can always try again tomorrow.
No matter what your age you will find a challenge to wake up your brain and figure out what may at first glance seem impossble.
If one of our puzzles looks easy you can be fairly certain it will be anything but.
We don't do easy puzzles. There's no fun in that.
All our puzzles are suitable for ages 8 to 100 but some are certainly a little easier than others. If you need any help picking the best one for you or a loved one please be sure to get in touch. We love nothing better than helping to match the right puzzle with its owner!!
When we are not making puzzles in our workshop we can be found at Craft Fairs throughout Dublin & Wicklow and at Gifted in the RDS every December.
At the moment we are obviously missing our face to face puzzle demos and meeting our loyal customers. Looking forward to the days when we are back at it again, see you then!
Happy Puzzling
